WHAT IS EQUITY IN EDUCATION? 

Equity in education seeks to provide appropriate resources and remove any barriers to achievement brought about due to personal circumstances so that all students can reach their full potential. OUR MISSION

The OPS Equity Committee strives to support Oriole Park School's mission to create an equitable learning environment for all through assessment, evaluation, and dialogue. 

WHAT IS OUR ROLE?

Our role is to make recommendations, suggestions and inquiries to the Local School Council (LSC) based on the following:

* Identify and share resources to proactively promote and equitable learning environment 

* Support proceedures that enable students, families, and staff to share experiences

* Analyze information, perform gap analysis, and request supplemental information from a variety of sources that relate to equity to inform our decision making
